Small batches of grapes are specifically selected according to ripeness, harvested by hand and vinified separately. This process is carried out gently with minimal intervention in open top fermenters using traditional methods only. This wine spent 20 months maturing in seasoned French oak barrels before being bottled by hand without filtration on 9 November 2020. Only 6604 bottles were made in this smaller vintage.
Spicy red fruit and liqueur cherry aromas are complimented by classic dusty leather notes. The palate is full and rich but maintains a fresh elegance. Racy red berry flavours, chalky tannins and good balance afford the wine a long, succulent dry finish.

This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome. Having tasted them she was spot on with her comments on each bottle. I would highly recommend anyone to use this shop.
