The fruit for this wine comes from a 47 year old unirrigated vineyard called Riverside. It is the oldest vineyard on the Keermont farm. The vines have to work hard on the patchy soil resulting in small yields of excellent quality fruit.
The fruit is harvested by hand and fermented with wild yeasts. It rests on its lees for 12 months in oak.
This is a deep, rich, complex Chenin Blanc, with tangy fruit and a lovely balance, with a very long finish.

This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome.
