The Kortpad has always been an intriguing wine, made with 100% Fernao Pires from 51 year old vines, grown in the Sandy Soils of Darling, Swartland. The 2020 vintage has the additional interest of having had some skin contact making it a delightful food partner.
It retains its luxurious Persian flavours of orange blossom, turkish delight and sultanas ideal for spiced Middle Eastern cuisines such as lamb and stuffed aubergine or Indian dishes such as tandoori chicken.

Whilst packing up to move internationally a friend died and I needed to organise an emergency case of something luscious to support the wake. Not only did their wonderful team organise and deliver within an incredibly tight deadline they drafted a message for me too which I approved. Wonderful!!

Great Wine/Spirit shop with knowledgeable, friendly and helpful staff
This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome. Having tasted them she was spot on with her comments on each bottle. I would highly recommend anyone to use this shop.
