Pfaffl is a family-owned winery located in Austria's Weinviertel region, known for producing exceptional Grüner Veltliner wines. The winery is run by Roman Pfaffl and his sister Heidi, who took over from their parents in 1983. They have since expanded the winery to include over 110 hectares of vineyards, with a focus on sustainable and organic farming practices.
Made from 100% Grüner Veltliner grapes grown on the family's vineyards in the Weinviertel region. The grapes are handpicked and carefully sorted before being gently pressed and fermented in stainless steel tanks. The wine is aged on its lees for several months, which gives it a rich texture and complexity.
On the nose, it offers aromas of fresh green apples, white peach, and citrus blossom, with a hint of spice. On the palate, it is crisp and refreshing, with flavours of tart Granny Smith apple, lemon zest, and a subtle minerality. The finish is clean and lively, with a lingering citrus note.

This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome. Having tasted them she was spot on with her comments on each bottle. I would highly recommend anyone to use this shop.
