Dominio de Punctum farm over 200ha of entirely organic vineyards in the sunny hills of Cuenca in the central Spanish region of La Mancha. They are committed to producing wine in harmony with nature, rare for a producer of their size, and under the supervision of head winemaker Ruth Fernandez are making some delicious wines in the process.
The Pomelado is a perfect introduction to orange wines, complex and fleshy without being too out there or funky! Made from Sauvignon Blanc macerated on the skins for 14-days, it has lots of spice and citrus peel notes, alongside a more savoury almond character. The finish is fresh and crisp, reminiscent of pink grapefruit. This is really delicious with Mediterranean food - standing up perfectly to strong flavours of olives, garlic, capers etc.

Whilst packing up to move internationally a friend died and I needed to organise an emergency case of something luscious to support the wake. This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome. Having tasted them she was spot on with her comments on each bottle. I would highly recommend anyone to use this shop.
