Across generations, Quinta de la Rosa has meticulously ensured that their vineyards are harmoniously aligned with their unique terroir. The result is the consistent production of impeccably ripe grapes, a harmonious marriage of soil and ripeness that forms the bedrock of their renowned 'house' style, seamlessly expressed in all their wines.
60% Touriga Nacional, 12% Touriga Franca, 8% Tinta Roriz, 5% Sousão and the rest coming from mixed field planted old vines, all from La Rosa’s estate. Fermented in stainless-steel vats before maturing for 12 months in used French oak casks. Bottled in February 2020. With woodland fruits, plums, and light herbaceous notes on the nose, this medium bodied wine is seductive thanks to its nuanced complexity. The La Rosa Estate Red is vibrant with smooth young tannins making it the perfect accompaniment to food. Great structure will also ensure that the wine will age well in bottle for many years to come.

Whilst packing up to move internationally a friend died and I needed to organise an emergency case of something luscious to support the wake. This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome. Having tasted them she was spot on with her comments on each bottle. I would highly recommend anyone to use this shop.
