Produced by a team in the heart of Verona, this wine is named after “Trastullo” – a playful character from the historic Commedia dell'Arte and the wine embodies the spirit of enjoyment and the timeless artistry of Italian winemaking.
Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks with a small addition of dried grapes to enhance depth and complexity, in the ripasso fashion. The wine is then aged for 2 years before release.
The blend of Corvina, Rondinella, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon prevents an IGT designation but the traditional meets modern production of this wine delivers plenty for the price point.
Sweet blackberries, stewed plums, and black cherries. Soft tannins and gentle acidity. Drink with grilled meats, rich pastas, and robust cheeses.

This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome.
