Walter Massa is situated in the Piemonte region of north west Italy. His family have been growing the Timorasso grape for five generations. It is a grape variety which almost became extinct, so little was made, and their was not much consumer awareness.
We are big fans of this grape variety, and this particular wine, Timorasso. It's powerful, and has richness, and also a squeaky clean finish, keeping the wine uplifted, and leaving you wanting more. It has some dried fruit qualities, as well as floral hints, it is a fascinating wine.

Whilst packing up to move internationally a friend died and I needed to organise an emergency case of something luscious to support the wake. Not only did their wonderful team organise and deliver within an incredibly tight deadline they drafted a message for me too which I approved. Wonderful!!

Great Wine/Spirit shop with knowledgeable, friendly and helpful staff
This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome. Having tasted them she was spot on with her comments on each bottle. I would highly recommend anyone to use this shop.
