Weingut Joh. Jos. Prüm is a prominent German vine grower and wine producer. Located in Bernkastel-Wehlen, the winery got founded in 1911 by Johann Josef Prüm. It receives the blessings of the wine-growing area of Mosel in Germany. The region comes with superior quality slopes that support the growth and development of the grapevines. For generations, the motto at Prüm has been: "We leave the composition of the wine to nature, because nature can do it much better than any cellar technology, no matter how modern!"
This Riesling is gorgeously smooth, vibrant and fresh as a daisy on the nose; the generous juicy white peach fruit, the vibrant lemony acidity and fine slaty mineral structure fit together so effortlessly. Delicate yet with considerable honeyed fruit that persist on the finish, making this wine flattering and approachable now, but its depth herald a very long future.

Whilst packing up to move internationally a friend died and I needed to organise an emergency case of something luscious to support the wake. Not only did their wonderful team organise and deliver within an incredibly tight deadline they drafted a message for me too which I approved. Wonderful!!

This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome. Having tasted them she was spot on with her comments on each bottle. I would highly recommend anyone to use this shop.
