Fleurie Bel Air 2018 Domaine de la Grosse Pierre

£17.95 GBP

We have mentioned before that we are big fans of Beaujolais wines. They offer value, style and freshness, ideal for weather like this. The reds can be lightly chilled and make for a delightful garden tipple.

With some careful searching there is so much quality to be found from this seductive region, at a fraction of the price of more famous Burgundy vineyards. We have new stock from the wonderful Pauline Passot, who in the 2018 vintage took over winemaking at her family's estate Domaine de la Grosse Pierre.

Pauline made wine in New Zealand and Chile before returning to Burgundy to make Beaujolais. The family have a few tiny parcels in Beaujolais, amounting to 9 hectares, we have focussed on one of her Chiroubles and a Fleurie.
The Fleurie is a delight, it's almost like it has been made from freshly made summer fruits, it is so easy to drink. What a rewarding region Beaujolais is.
