Ana Maria Cumsille has been making wine for multiple decades and she fell in love with Itata Valley in Chile.
Over the years she made friends with several families who farm small parcels of old bush vines in the Itata subregions. She makes single vineyard wines from different, small vineyards that grow Carignan, Cinsault, Pais, and Malbec among other varietals.
She has fast become one of the leading lights in the Chilean wine scene and a true champion of the wines of Itata.
This wine is 100% Pais voted the best in the world.
It’s smooth, silky and elegant, full of ripe red fruits with a touch of earthiness and spice. It’s quite complex but very drinkable.

Whilst packing up to move internationally a friend died and I needed to organise an emergency case of something luscious to support the wake. This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome. Having tasted them she was spot on with her comments on each bottle. I would highly recommend anyone to use this shop.
