A beautifully fresh and savoury take on Rías Baixas Albariño, Luzada 2024 is all about citrus, minerality and bright Atlantic freshness rather than overt tropical fruit. The cool Atlantic climate and granite soils of Rías Baixas help preserve Albariño’s naturally high acidity and distinctive mineral character, while careful pressing and cool fermentation in stainless steel keep the wine fresh and pure.
Pale straw in colour with subtle green reflections, it opens with lifted aromas of lime zest, grapefruit, green apple and delicate white flowers. The palate is taut and refreshing, with crisp citrus fruit, saline minerality and a gently bitter edge that adds both structure and complexity. Dry, precise and mouth-watering, it has a restrained character that makes it particularly well suited to food.
This is an elegant, food-friendly Spanish white that really comes alive at the table. Serve alongside fresh oysters, grilled sardines, monkfish with olive oil and herbs, seafood dishes or a courgette and fennel risotto. A great choice for long lunches and fresh Mediterranean cooking.

This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome. Having tasted them she was spot on with her comments on each bottle. I would highly recommend anyone to use this shop.
