Andre Robert is a family-owned and operated Champagne house that has been producing exceptional Champagnes since 1854. The current owner, Bertrand Robert, represents the fifth generation of the family to run the estate. The estate has always had a focus on producing exceptional Blanc de Blancs Champagnes, and this 'Terre du Mesnil' Millesime 2017 is no exception.
This expertly crafted Champagne is made from 100% Chardonnay sourced from Grand Cru vineyards in Le Mesnil Sur Oger. A 10-month fermentation in small, used oak barrels and regular battonage infuses the wine with texture and flavour. It ages in the bottle for 6 years, resulting in an elegant, aromatic sparkling with exotic fruit notes and a long, luxurious finish.

Whilst packing up to move internationally a friend died and I needed to organise an emergency case of something luscious to support the wake. Not only did their wonderful team organise and deliver within an incredibly tight deadline they drafted a message for me too which I approved. Wonderful!!

This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome. Having tasted them she was spot on with her comments on each bottle. I would highly recommend anyone to use this shop.
