Château Pesquié is located in Mormoiron, amongst the foothills of Mout Ventoux, whose snow-topped peak towers majestically over the surrounding vineyards. Ventoux is just 50km from Châteauneuf, but has a significantly cooler climate, which is evident in the perfume and sheer finesse of the château’s wines.
These Viognier grapes are grown at the foot of Mont Ventoux and the wine is named after the famous road that leads to the summit. The D975 is notoriously one of the toughest stretches of the Tour de France. The steep slopes and fierce winds are tricky for cyclists but ideal for the grapes.

This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome. Having tasted them she was spot on with her comments on each bottle. I would highly recommend anyone to use this shop.
