From the bottom up, all of the Mullineux wines are made from sustainably farmed fruit, and mainly from old vines. There is a hands off approach to wine making, the focus is on the individual vineyard terroirs and they let the fruit display its sense of place.
Kloof Street comes from three different vineyard sites. One is based on stony soil, which offers ripe fresh fruit flavours. The other two parcels are based on granitic soil, the fruit from here is complex and aromatic.
The wine is fresh and minerally, it has ripe pear aromas and wet stone. It is round, with a lovely texture and balance. This is a great expression of Chenin Blanc.
