The first expression of Derrumbes naturally represents the rich character of the Central Valleys of Oaxaca, epicenter of agave biodiversity. An ensemble of two of its most representative species: Espadín and Tobalá. It is produced by the skillful hand of third-generation agave farmer and Maestro Mezcalero Javier Mateo and his family in the town of Santiago Matatlán. Pit roasted with black oak and tahona ground, it goes through a wild fermentation using pulque as a fermentation aid and water from the ancestral Zapotec town of Mitla. The result is a round, full-bodied mezcal with a light smokiness that gives way to its minerality and delicate fruitiness.

New & Exciting
There are very few wine shops as good as Butlers, years of buying wines from them. There is always something new & exciting to pick out off the shelves and if you’re in any doubt the advice is considered and insightful.

Brilliant Butlers!
Words can't express the brilliance of Butlers or the thoughtfulness, expertise and compassion of their team! Whilst packing up to move internationally a friend died and I needed to organise an emergency case of something luscious to support the wake. Not only did their wonderful team organise and deliver within an incredibly tight deadline they drafted a message for me too which I approved. Wonderful!!

Delightful, delicious, delectable
As a lockdown convert, I'm an online customer, but the clear website, with interesting blogs and some comprehensive descriptions, really helps to steer you. Great advice when needed and great service too.

Sourcing Stock
Henry and Team managed to locate some difficult to find American wine which they kindly offered and I gratefully accepted. They truly differentiate by being able to surprise by sourcing stock very much outside the run of the mill.

Great Wine/Spirit shop with knowledgeable, friendly and helpful staff
This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome. Having tasted them she was spot on with her comments on each bottle. I would highly recommend anyone to use this shop.
