Rinaldi is one of the great family names of Piemonte, with a winemaking pedigree intertwined with the history of Barolo itself. Franceso Rinaldi founded this estate in 1870 and it is run with a deep reverence for its heritage by the latest generation of Rinaldi's.
The winemaking ethos is gloriously traditional, with modern techniques only adopted to nudge the already-stellar bar of quality even higher. For instance, fermentation now takes place in stainless steel, but nothing is hurried; no corners are cut.
Roussot translates as ginger, is a single vineyard within the Barolo cru Cannubi. It is super aromatic, it has a beautiful, lovely opulent nose, dark cherry and chocolate. Lovely and fresh, dry, delicious. Clean finish.

Words can't express the brilliance of Butlers or the thoughtfulness, expertise and compassion of their team! Whilst packing up to move internationally a friend died and I needed to organise an emergency case of something luscious to support the wake. Not only did their wonderful team organise and deliver within an incredibly tight deadline they drafted a message for me too which I approved. Wonderful!!

This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome. Having tasted them she was spot on with her comments on each bottle. I would highly recommend anyone to use this shop.
