This is a 23 hectare family run domaine situated in the small village of Bernouil, close to Chablis. They currently only bottle 10% of the production but are expanding to meet demand. The wines are crisp and mineral and typical of the Chablis region.
A medium-bodied white, this wine showcases fresh minerality with vibrant fruit-forward flavours and a smooth, creamy finish. Light, fruity and incredibly easy-drinking, the Domaine Fournillon Bourgogne Blanc is a delightful choice for an aperitif or paired with seafood. Its perfect balance of fruit, minerality and acidity highlights the essence of an unoaked Burgundy.
Simply as an aperitif (plain or with crème de cassis), it can also accompany raw vegetables, asparagus, fish or white meats in sauce and cooked cheeses.

Whilst packing up to move internationally a friend died and I needed to organise an emergency case of something luscious to support the wake. Henry and Team managed to locate some difficult to find American wine which they kindly offered and I gratefully accepted. They truly differentiate by being able to surprise by sourcing stock very much outside the run of the mill.

This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome. Having tasted them she was spot on with her comments on each bottle. I would highly recommend anyone to use this shop.
