True to its name, “Le Charmeur” is an inviting and expressive Morgon, offering the structure of cru Beaujolais with a supple, fruit-driven charm. The 2020 vintage was a warm, generous year and has yielded a wine of ripeness and balance.
The nose is fragrant and pure, showing ripe red cherry, blackberry, and plum, along with subtle floral tones of violet and a touch of baking spice. On the palate, it’s juicy and medium-bodied, with silky tannins and a lively acidity that keeps the fruit fresh and vibrant. Hints of earth, graphite, and spice emerge on the finish, adding depth and character.
Approachable now, this wine also has enough structure to age gracefully for a few more years. A perfect match for roast duck, charcuterie, grilled mushrooms, or even a simple coq au vin.

This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome. Having tasted them she was spot on with her comments on each bottle. I would highly recommend anyone to use this shop.
