Domaine du Vieux Télégraphe, run by the Brunier family in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, is a classic Rhône estate known for Grenache-driven wines from old vines on the stony La Crau plateau. The “Télégramme” cuvée comes from younger or secondary parcels, offering the estate’s signature style with a slightly earlier-drinking, approachable character.
The 2019 magnum is full of blackberry, cherry, and plum, layered with garrigue herbs, spice, and a hint of leather. On the palate it’s full-bodied yet elegant, with ripe dark fruit, smooth structured tannins, and a long, savory finish. It balances power and freshness, making it enjoyable now or capable of further aging.

This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome. Having tasted them she was spot on with her comments on each bottle. I would highly recommend anyone to use this shop.
