Edouard Brun is a small, family-owned Champagne House in the revered Grand Cru village of Aÿ. Founded in 1898, the House has stepped out of the shadow of history in recent years, evolving from a very traditional approach to a modern and fruit-driven style. The wines are all the better for it.
Prolonged bottle age is a hallmark of Brun's vintage wines, bringing secondary flavours to the fore. The 1996 is well into its journey to maturity now, showing glorious evolution of honeyed peach, dried apricots and sweet spice notes. You rarely get the chance to try a Champagne ageing this well - save it for a special occasion.
