Unlike many Portuguese Vinho Verde wines made from Alvarinho, this comes from the beautiful Lima Valley known for the best Loureiro around.
Coming from granitic soil vineyards on slopes, the continental climate is influenced by the Serra D'Arga mountains. These factors give this wine a beautiful mineral freshness.
On the palate it presents a vibrant acidity that dances on the taste buds, providing a zesty and invigorating sensation. Flavours of juicy lime, ripe grapefruit, and hints of tropical fruits, lending a delightful complexity to each sip. This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome. Having tasted them she was spot on with her comments on each bottle. I would highly recommend anyone to use this shop.
