Johnny Drum is a historic brand now produced by Willett Distillery in Bardstown, Kentucky, a family-run operation with a strong heritage of small-batch craft bourbon. The Green Label bottling is a clear example of their “everyday excellence” approach: straightforward and drinkable.
This is a Kentucky Straight Bourbon whiskey, aged for at least 4 years in new charred American oak barrels and the Green Label is bottled at 40% ABV (80 proof) in classic square-shoulder bottles. In the glass you’ll find a warm amber hue, followed by a nose of caramel, vanilla, sweet corn, and toasted oak. On palate: honeyed sweetness, butterscotch, light spice and a touch of charred oak frame the experience, finishing smooth and gently warming with subtle nut and wood notes.
Best enjoyed neat, or with a splash of water to open the aromas. Also sits comfortably over a large ice cube with an orange twist.

This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome.
