A stunning example of Austrian Eiswein, this 2015 Riesling from Lang captures the beauty of botrytis-free, naturally frozen grapes in a rich, concentrated, yet vibrant style.
Golden in the glass, it opens with an intense bouquet of candied citrus peel, apricot compote, honeyed pear, and white flowers, with a touch of crystalline minerality. The palate is luscious but never heavy layers of ripe stone fruit, marmalade, and acacia honey are balanced by Riesling’s signature acidity, bringing brightness and lift to the wine’s sweet core.
The finish is long, pure, and refreshing, with lingering notes of citrus and spice. A superb dessert wine to enjoy with fruit tarts, blue cheeses, or on its own as a meditative finale.

This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome.
