For those who identified with it, this mountain stood as a beacon of strength and motivation for generations. The visionaries behind Mama Afrika were captivated by this symbol and believed it best encapsulated their foray into the realm of winemaking. Through crafting wines of excellence, their aim is to offer both local and global wine enthusiasts an experience to savour and cherish.
An exceptional Chardonnay, matured with oak, hailing from the Western Cape. Delicate orchard fruit flavours intertwine with tropical hints of melon and pineapple, harmoniously counterbalanced by a refined thread of acidity. This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome.
