This is a delightful Chardonnay from California's Monterey AVA. Mandolin work closely with growers across the Monterey region to source top notch grapes for their wines. This region is heavily influenced by the nearby Pacific Ocean, which has a cooling influence along the coastal areas.
This Chardonnay was matured in 1-2 year old French oak barrels, giving a more delicate flavour profile than many other California Chardonnays. It also undergoes malolactic fermentation, which brings with it a wonderful buttery profile, along with well integrated acidity.
It has a lovely nose of nectarine, cedar, brioche and lime, and a delightful flavour profile that shows wonderful ripeness, with subtle woody and buttery flavours providing a great backdrop. The finish is creamy, zesty and oh so moreish!
