Meandro do Vale Meão Branco is a vibrant and characterful white from the Upper Douro, produced by the renowned Olazabal family at Quinta do Vale Meão. Drawing on the estate’s exceptional terroir, with its mix of schist soils and cooling influences from altitude, this wine offers a beautifully modern expression of the Douro’s potential for fresh, aromatic whites.
Made with native grapes Arinto and Rabigato, the nose is bright and expressive, opening with notes of citrus zest, white peach and pear, alongside subtle floral hints and a gentle mineral undertone. On the palate, the wine is crisp, clean and energetic, with lively acidity carrying flavours of lemon, stone fruit and a touch of salinity. The texture is refined and well-balanced, leading to a refreshing, precise finish that invites another sip.
Perfect with grilled fish, seafood, light salads, soft cheeses or simply enjoyed on its own as an aperitif.

This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome. Having tasted them she was spot on with her comments on each bottle. I would highly recommend anyone to use this shop.
