A bright and characterful golden rum from Panama, Mezan Chiriqui is made with a focus on purity. Distilled from molasses and aged for three years, it is bottled without added sugar, colouring or chill filtration, allowing its natural character to shine.
What sets this rum apart is its secondary maturation in Moscatel wine casks, lending an extra layer of aromatic complexity and subtle fruit sweetness.
On the nose, it opens with inviting aromas of honeyed peaches and ripe apricot. The palate is smooth and expressive, revealing notes of tinned peach, vanilla and warm honey, balanced by a gentle lift of white pepper and soft baking spice. The Moscatel influence brings a rounded richness, while maintaining a clean, elegant finish.

This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome.
