Mezan is a limited collection of “Unaltered Rums”: Unsweetened, Uncolored, and Unchillfiltered. Aged in casks until they reach their optimal maturity.
The XO Jamaican is a blend of rums from Monymusk and Hampden distilleries, between 4 and 23 years old. Typical of Jamaican rum it is very aromatic with banana and pineapple notes rising through the oaky spice. On the palate it has a light smooth feeling with brown butter, candied orange peel and dried apricot flavours through the impressive finish.

Whilst packing up to move internationally a friend died and I needed to organise an emergency case of something luscious to support the wake. This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome. Having tasted them she was spot on with her comments on each bottle. I would highly recommend anyone to use this shop.
