Customers of a certain age will remember chianti bottles in straw baskets. Some of you may even have one in the attic, converted into an impromptu lamp. The chances are it didn't originally contain a wine this good.
Monte Bernardi is a quality producer in Chianti Classico that has decided to have a bit of fun with Fiasco! (named after that classic flask bottle). They've certainly succeeded.
It's a red blend made with organic grapes sourced from all over Italy, and it's very very drinkable. It's medium-bodies, full of juicy red berry flavours, with floral and spicy hints for company. Great for parties - especially since it comes in a 1L bottle!

Whilst packing up to move internationally a friend died and I needed to organise an emergency case of something luscious to support the wake. Not only did their wonderful team organise and deliver within an incredibly tight deadline they drafted a message for me too which I approved. Wonderful!!

This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome. Having tasted them she was spot on with her comments on each bottle. I would highly recommend anyone to use this shop.
