ORGA Ktima Zafeirakis Limniona Red 2022

Ktima Zafeirakis, based in Tyrnavos in Thessaly, is led by winemaker Christos Zafeirakis, one of the key figures responsible for reviving the indigenous Limniona grape. Working organically and with a strong focus on biodiversity, the estate produces wines that highlight the purity, finesse and subtlety of this once-forgotten variety. The Orga Limniona 2022 comes from carefully tended vineyards and is crafted with gentle extraction and minimal intervention to preserve the grape’s naturally elegant character.

The wine opens with bright aromas of red cherry, wild strawberry and cranberry, supported by floral hints of rose and violet and a dusting of warm spice. On the palate it is medium-bodied and silky, showing lifted red-fruit flavours layered with soft herbal notes and a touch of earthiness. Fine, supple tannins and fresh acidity give the wine a graceful, understated structure. The finish is clean, aromatic and quietly persistent, highlighting Limniona’s signature combination of delicacy, freshness and subtle complexity.
