Platt Vineyard have been producing exceptional single vineyard expressions for top producers for nearly 20 years, They now have their very own “grand cru” wines from the far west Sonoma Coast. Settled 6 miles from the Pacific, planted on the prized Gold Ridge soils, their Estate Reserve Chardonnay scored a perfect 100 with their first released vintage of 2023!
The Reserve [Chardonnay] bottling is a strict selection of the estate's best lots and barrels coming from only mature vines. In 2023, this was blended from 3 blocks that highlight the remarkable depth and mineral intensity of the site. Complex and concentrated, beams of ripe citrus and stone fruits shine, while detailed floral notes and densely coiled structure elevate this to Reserve quality. Despite its inherent power, no tension or freshness is sacrificed. This wine finishes with salty, mineral accents and impressive length.
(100% Chardonnay aged for 14 months in 60-gallon burgundy barrels (228L). 33% New French Oak, 67% used French Oak.)
These wine are very exclusive and we are very lucky to have secured a couple of bottles for our customers.

This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome. Having tasted them she was spot on with her comments on each bottle. I would highly recommend anyone to use this shop.
