This 2015 Late Bottled Vintage Port from Quinta das Tecedeiras is a bold and expressive wine, showing the depth and character typical of a classic Douro vintage. Aged in cask before bottling, it offers both immediate appeal and aging potential.
The nose is rich and generous, with intense aromas of black cherry, cassis, plum, and fig, layered with notes of dark chocolate, sweet spice, and a hint of dried rose. On the palate, it is full-bodied and velvety, with fine-grained tannins supporting a core of ripe dark fruit, licorice, and toasted nuts. There's a touch of cocoa and spice on the long, warming finish.
Well-balanced and complex, this LBV is drinking beautifully now but can develop further over at least the next 10 years. Perfect with blue cheese, chocolate desserts, or enjoyed on its own as a contemplative glass.

This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome.
