Here’s what’s inside:
Cantina di Gambellara is the first cooperative winery in the province of Vicenza.This 100% Glera grape Prosecco from Veneto. Light straw yellow in colour, the nose has notes of pear and floral hints. It is fresh and soft in the mouth and makes an excellent aperitif. It goes well with delicate dishes such as fish and shellfish.
A dynamic blend of classic Rioja style and modern accessibility that is crafted with grapes from the region's best vineyards, in Rioja Alta.
A traditional style of white Rioja with lovely fresh citrus tones, pear, honeydew melon and soft hints of vanilla oak. It has good intensity of flavour and has a lovely balance. Super quaffable! Delicious with pasta in creamy alfredo sauce or carbonara, or with rich fish dishes.
This white wine boasts the typical aromatic characters of Gruner Veltliner, with distinctive notes of pepper and spice. On the palate, it offers a refreshing taste with a soft, rounded texture that adds to its charm.
This Gruner Veltliner is known for its versatility and pairs well with a variety of flavours, including spicy Asian cuisine.
The Terras d'el Rei Tinto comes from vineyards between the Monsaraz and Reguengo sub-regions and is a blend of the local varieties Trincadeira, Aragonez and Castelao. Aragonez is better known by its Spanish name, as the Tempranillo of Rioja fame.
A gentle and smooth red, with lovely red cherry, blackberry and cranberry fruit notes. Medium-bodied with ripe tannins and good freshness, the flavour persists nicely with a hint of cinnamon spice in the finish. A great everyday drinker, suited for roasted meats and vegetables, mushroom dishes and tomato sauces.
The Beatrice wines come from the sun-drenched vineyards of Puglia, where late-ripening red varieties flourish.
Deep purplish red, the Nero di Troia is packed with rich dark fruits, blackberry and cherry jam. Full-bodied, with smooth tannins and hints of bitter chocolate and liquorice alongside the bold fruit. An excellent pair for braised lamb shanks and other rich hearty dishes.

Sourcing Stock
Henry and Team managed to locate some difficult to find American wine which they kindly offered and I gratefully accepted. They truly differentiate by being able to surprise by sourcing stock very much outside the run of the mill.

This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome.
