Torabhaig Whisky Legacy Allt Gleann Single Malt 46% 70cl

It's the second addition to the Legacy Series – and second ever release of single malt from the amazing Torabhaig distillery on the Isle of Skye. Combining small batches of whisky distilled in 2017 and 2018, Allt Gleann captures the essence of Skye – brimming with roasty, smoky peat and plenty of maritime character. A very impressive expression indeed!

On the nose wafts of woody tobacco and crumbly vanilla shortbread. Earthy peat smoke and a zing of lemon zest combine with a salty maritime note of smoked shellfish. The palate expresses a bold peat, coastal tar with an oily texture, roasted, salted nuts, and light fruit salad. Floral notes of heather, fennel, and a touch of metallic, medicinal pepper spice. This whisky finishes off with big hits of peat smoke, sweet fruit notes with apples and kiwi and vanilla oak with continuing sea breeze and briny harbourside character.
