Verus Vineyards Winery was founded in May 2007 by Božidar Grabovac, Rajko Žličar and Danilo Šnajder. The Štajerska Slovenija appellation is a cool climate region at the border of eastern Alps foothills and Pannonian Plain.
This sustainably produced Pinot Gris shows pear skin, ripe apples, lime zest and subtle minerality. There is a sweetness to the core fruit in this wine that makes it so moreish and food-friendly.
This would work really well with aromatic Asian cuisine, for example a Thai green curry.

Whilst packing up to move internationally a friend died and I needed to organise an emergency case of something luscious to support the wake. Not only did their wonderful team organise and deliver within an incredibly tight deadline they drafted a message for me too which I approved. Wonderful!!

Great Wine/Spirit shop with knowledgeable, friendly and helpful staff
This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome. Having tasted them she was spot on with her comments on each bottle. I would highly recommend anyone to use this shop.
