The Agricola Marrone winery is based in the famous village of La Morra, Barolo. The family has been working in the area for 4 generations now, and have built a reputation for creating expressive and powerful wines.
This Langhe Nebbiolo opens with lifted aromas of wild strawberry, red cherry and rose petals, alongside delicate hints of spice and dried herbs. The palate is elegant and fresh, with silky tannins supporting layers of red berry fruit, subtle earthiness and a touch of liquorice. Vibrant acidity gives the wine energy and balance, leading to a long, refined finish with classic Nebbiolo character. A graceful, food-friendly red that pairs beautifully with pasta, roast meats and mushroom dishes.

This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome. Having tasted them she was spot on with her comments on each bottle. I would highly recommend anyone to use this shop.
