Concha y Toro is one of Chile’s most respected producers, known for combining scale with a strong focus on site expression. The Amelia range represents their premium terroir-driven wines, highlighting finesse, balance and a modern, elegant style.
The Amelia Chardonnay 2023 is a refined, cool-climate expression of Chilean Chardonnay, full of fresh citrus, green apple and pear, layered with subtle floral notes and a touch of flint. Twelve months of ageing in French oak barrels (10% new, 90% second and third use) brings gentle nuances of toasted almond, brioche and a soft creaminess, enhancing complexity while keeping the fruit front and centre.
This wine is poised and elegant, combining vibrant acidity with a smooth, textured mouthfeel. Flavours of lemon zest, ripe pear and stone fruit are supported by a fine mineral backbone and restrained oak influence. The finish is long, clean and precise, marked by freshness and understated oak spice.

Whilst packing up to move internationally a friend died and I needed to organise an emergency case of something luscious to support the wake. Not only did their wonderful team organise and deliver within an incredibly tight deadline they drafted a message for me too which I approved. Wonderful!!

This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome. Having tasted them she was spot on with her comments on each bottle. I would highly recommend anyone to use this shop.
