Ark Wines is a family-run vineyard and winery nestled in the heart of the East Anglian Stour Valley at Mount Farm in Suffolk. Established in 2019 by a Swedish couple Hans and Kristin Engstrom, along with their daughter Amanda, the venture began when the family transformed a barn into their home and envisioned the surrounding land as a vineyard. Amanda pursued viticulture and winemaking studies at Plumpton College, equipping the family with the expertise to cultivate and produce distinctive still wines.
Sustainability is at the core of Ark Wines' philosophy. The vineyard employs organic practices, harnesses solar energy, and implements water conservation measures to minimize environmental impact. Their wines are unfiltered, unfined, and vegan-friendly, reflecting a commitment to natural winemaking processes.
A robust, dry, skin-contact rose with hints of grapefruit, apricot, ripe apple and orange blossom. A nutty finish on the palate.

Words can't express the brilliance of Butlers or the thoughtfulness, expertise and compassion of their team! Whilst packing up to move internationally a friend died and I needed to organise an emergency case of something luscious to support the wake. Not only did their wonderful team organise and deliver within an incredibly tight deadline they drafted a message for me too which I approved. Wonderful!!

Henry and Team managed to locate some difficult to find American wine which they kindly offered and I gratefully accepted. They truly differentiate by being able to surprise by sourcing stock very much outside the run of the mill.

This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome. Having tasted them she was spot on with her comments on each bottle. I would highly recommend anyone to use this shop.
