The Castiadas Winery, founded in 1959, is located in southeastern Sardinia, an area renowned for producing high-quality wines. The vineyards extend across a landscape characterized by a Mediterranean climate, with hot summers and mild winters, and mineral-rich soils that give the wines unique characteristics.
Cantina Castiadas' Vermentino di Sardegna Praidis is a shining example of how Sardinia's unique terroir is beautifully expressed in wine. The Vermentino is harvested by hand at the peak of ripeness, a detail that guarantees the maximum expression of freshness and aromatic intensity.
Vinification is conducted in stainless steel tanks to preserve the intrinsic Vermentino qualities and purity of the fruit. Aromas of white-fleshed fruits such as peach and green apple, enriched by notes of Mediterranean herbs and a touch of florality, lending the wine a refined elegance.
On the palate, the wine reveals a sparkling freshness, supported by balanced acidity that leads to a persistent and savoury finish, characteristic of Vermentino.
Ideal as an aperitif or paired with fish, seafood, and light Mediterranean dishes such as summer salads or grilled vegetables.

This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome. Having tasted them she was spot on with her comments on each bottle. I would highly recommend anyone to use this shop.
