Located in the heart of Moulis-en-Médoc, the estate benefits from well-drained gravel soils and a meticulous approach to vineyard management and cellar work, ensuring consistently high quality across vintages.
The 2019 vintage epitomises the estate’s modern precision and classic soul. A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, and Cabernet Franc, it opens with an expressive bouquet of ripe blackberries, cassis, and dark cherries, layered with notes of cedar, graphite, and a touch of mocha. The palate is silky yet structured, with fine-grained tannins and beautifully integrated oak. Concentrated fruit is balanced by a refreshing lift, leading to a long, harmonious finish.
A polished Médoc wine that will reward cellaring but is already immensely pleasurable. Perfect with roast lamb, duck breast, or a mushroom risotto.

Whilst packing up to move internationally a friend died and I needed to organise an emergency case of something luscious to support the wake. This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome. Having tasted them she was spot on with her comments on each bottle. I would highly recommend anyone to use this shop.
