This award-winning version of grappa is made from the finest grape skins, sourced from English vineyards. This pomace is upcycled after the winemaking process as we carefully distil only the best alcohol using our custom-built Italian copper still. The product of this distillation is Dappa; aged in a tank for a minimum of 12 months. Still a young and earthy product, the clean and smooth finish of Dappa has won multiple international awards.
While inspired by traditional grappa, Dappa has a distinctly British identity, celebrating sustainability, craftsmanship and regional character. Produced using traditional steam distillation, Dappa preserves the bold, aromatic flavours of the grape skins, resulting in a smooth, full-bodied spirit that reflects the terroir of British vineyards. As the only UK distillery producing this style of spirit, Devon Distillery turns winemaking by-products into something genuinely special.

This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome. Having tasted them she was spot on with her comments on each bottle. I would highly recommend anyone to use this shop.
