La Vouivre is a Jura blend of Chardonnay (70%), Savagnin (30%)
The wine displays a complex mineral character with a generous weight. Referred to a ‘Burgundy boy’ this is a 'fun blend' from Domaine de Carlines. Pleasant oxidative notes of ginger, spice and walnut from the 3rd fill 225 litre, Burgundian oak barrels and touch of Vin Jaune in the processing.
Patrick Ligeron farms, organically, eleven pristine hectares in Menétru-Le-Vignoble, with three sitting within the legendary Château-Châlon appellation (Jura’s unofficial ‘Grand Cru’).

This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome. Having tasted them she was spot on with her comments on each bottle. I would highly recommend anyone to use this shop.
