Domaine de Jouan is a family-run estate in the heart of the Loire Valley, where generations have dedicated themselves to producing elegant, terroir-driven wines. Their Sancerre Blanc epitomises the region’s reputation for precision and finesse, drawing on limestone and flint soils that give Sauvignon Blanc its hallmark minerality.
The 2024 vintage is wonderfully expressive, offering bright aromas of citrus, white peach and freshly cut herbs, underpinned by a subtle flinty edge. On the palate it is crisp and vibrant, with flavours of lemon zest, gooseberry and green apple carried on a fine mineral backbone. The finish is clean, refreshing and persistent, perfectly showcasing the purity of Loire Sauvignon Blanc.
An ideal partner to goat’s cheese, oysters or simply enjoyed as a refreshing glass on its own.

This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome. Having tasted them she was spot on with her comments on each bottle. I would highly recommend anyone to use this shop.
