Brothers Antonio and Ambrosio Iglesias' 29 Ha estate is located in the heart of the Sierra de Salamanca D.O.P, in the village of Miranda del Castañar. Founded in 2015, all the vineyards are organic and low-yielding, some are more than 100 years old, between 400 to 800m above sea level. The sandy soils coming from the surrounding granitic rock provide the wines with elegance and a long aftertaste, meanwhile clay soils coming from slate provide structure and minerality.
Organic and low intervention, 100% Rufete. Unoaked. Deep cherry red and violet hues. Intense aroma with deep red fruit and spice on the palate and a little grip.

Whilst packing up to move internationally a friend died and I needed to organise an emergency case of something luscious to support the wake. Not only did their wonderful team organise and deliver within an incredibly tight deadline they drafted a message for me too which I approved. Wonderful!!

This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome. Having tasted them she was spot on with her comments on each bottle. I would highly recommend anyone to use this shop.
