Bodegas Rey Fernando de Castilla, located in the heart of Jerez, has a history that stretches back centuries through the Andrada-Vanderwilde family. Though vermouth production in the region declined in the 1960s, Fernando de Castilla was a registered vermut producer, and now, fifty years later, they’ve brought this tradition back with finesse.
A beautifully crafted white vermouth from one of Jerez’s most respected sherry producers, Fernando de Castilla brings tradition to the modern glass. Made from a blend of Palomino and Moscatel grapes, this semi-sweet vermouth is infused with a medley of classic botanicals including wormwood, cloves, and citrus peel, then aged for around four years in barrel, delivering exceptional depth and complexity.
Expect aromatic Moscatel florals on the nose, lifted by warming spice and citrus. On the palate, it's smooth and gently sweet, with persistent notes of thyme, clove, and wormwood that linger elegantly into a refreshing finish.
Serve it chilled over ice with a twist of lemon, or pair with olives and roasted almonds for a classic Andalusian aperitif. It also makes a standout base for a white Negroni or Martini.

This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome.
