Coming from the Pyrenean foothills near to Carcassonne and Limoux, this is a lovely fresh Pinot Noir with bright and elegant red berry fruit flavours. The altitude and cool winds help to temper the Mediterranean climate, making this the best part of southern France for Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Ageing in large old oak barrels helps to refine the texture and add complexity.
The nose shows raspberry, red cherry and a touch of undergrowth while the palate is soft and juicy with brilliant food-friendly acidity. Perfect to pair with ratatouille or sausage casserole, or serve lightly chilled and enjoy by itself.

This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome. Having tasted them she was spot on with her comments on each bottle. I would highly recommend anyone to use this shop.
