Oliver Zeter is a producer known for taking a more adventurous approach to German winemaking, happily stepping beyond convention to create distinctive wines with real personality. This wine is fermented and matured in 300 or 500 litre barrels, adding texture and complexity.
An expressive, aromatic wine with an enticing combination of exotic fruit, honey and gentle spice. The palate balances its natural sweetness with clean, refreshing acidity, offering layers of ripe apricot, mango and pineapple alongside delicate honeyed notes. The sweetness comes from harvesting the grapes a little later than usual, allowing them to develop additional ripeness and sugar while retaining plenty of freshness.
A lovely choice for afternoon tea, particularly alongside a slice of sponge cake or fruit-based dessert.

This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome.
