Piekenierskloof is approximately 50 km north of Swartland and nestled in South Africa's Citrusdal Mountains.
The Fledge & Co. produce this 100% Palomino wine from a Single Vineyard planted in sandstone soils on Table Mountain in 1974.
Grapes are harvested mid February when the grape’s skin is nice an tanned. To add some structure to the wine, the wine was fermented on those skins for 4 days. All naturally of course. Barrel aged 12 months on lees. Bottled with minimum sulphur.
Floral aromas luring you into a garden with early spring ripened fruit.
Only 1819 bottles produced.

This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome. Having tasted them she was spot on with her comments on each bottle. I would highly recommend anyone to use this shop.
