Weingut Ecker-Eckhof has been run as a family business for over 400 years. As of today they farm 24 hectares of vines in the beautiful winegrowing region of Wagram in Austria.
Weingut Ecker-Eckhof delivers a vibrant and approachable expression of Austria’s flagship red grape. In the glass, it shines a brilliant ruby with violet glints. The nose bursts with red cherries, wild berries and a touch of spice. On the palate it’s fresh and supple, with silky tannins and a lively acidity that keeps everything lifted and moreish. Its unoaked style highlights the grape’s natural fruit purity, making it an ideal wine for casual sipping or versatile food pairings.

Whilst packing up to move internationally a friend died and I needed to organise an emergency case of something luscious to support the wake. Not only did their wonderful team organise and deliver within an incredibly tight deadline they drafted a message for me too which I approved. Wonderful!!

Henry and Team managed to locate some difficult to find American wine which they kindly offered and I gratefully accepted. They truly differentiate by being able to surprise by sourcing stock very much outside the run of the mill.

Great Wine/Spirit shop with knowledgeable, friendly and helpful staff
This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome. Having tasted them she was spot on with her comments on each bottle. I would highly recommend anyone to use this shop.
